Province Golf Classic 2 for 1 Card: Best Golf Deals in the Lower Mainland

by on September 8th, 2009

So are you new to Vancouver and love golf? Looking for some of the best deals on golf in Vancouver? Well, there are many courses to play in the Lower Mainland, but rounds can average $50 and above on the premium courses. What’s the next best thing for the best golf deals in Vancouver? Easy–sign up for the Province Golf Classic 2 for 1 card!

Province Golf Classic 2 for 1 Card: Vancouver’s Best Golf Deal

The Province Golf Classic happens annually and is sponsored by The Province newspaper.

Classic Plus Membership: $49 (access to 33 courses; over $1700 in value)
Premium Golf Membership: $99 (access to 33 plus 4 more premium courses; over $2000 in value)
– Weekly prizes start April 1st for 21 weeks; the 2 for 1 card lasts for ONE YEAR!

I ordered my card online and decided to pick up the card at The Province office because I didn’t want to wait. I had to jump through a few administrative hoops to get the card–next time I’m going to order earlier and wait for the card to come in the mail.

Every week you enter your scores online for a chance to win weekly prizes. At the end of the year, there is a year end tournament with up to $50,000 in prizes.

Of course each course has their own restrictions for 2 for 1 play, but generally this 2 for 1 card works best if you’re not working during the summer. So if you have summers off, or are retired, this is going to be a great way to play courses throughout the Lower Mainland!

What Are Some Hot Golf Deals from the 2 for 1 Card?

This summer I’ve been able to utilize the 2 for 1 card and golf some fine courses in Metro Vancouver. Here is a brief summary of some of the best golf deals you can get in Vancouver by using this card:

– Green Acres in Richmond: $22.50 after 2 for 1
– Mayfair Lakes in Richmond: $44.50 after 2 for 1
– Olympic View in Victoria: $34.50 after 2 for 1

Here’s a picture of the 2 for 1 card below. Normally courses punch the card so you can only go once, but I only experienced this at Olympic View in Victoria. You would think they would want you coming back for 2 for 1 golf, given this current economic climate:
