Golf Town: Where You Can Test New Clubs for Hours
Golf Town is a major chain that has 46 locations across Canada and 6 locations in BC, with 4 of those residing in the Lower Mainland. Golf Town locations can be found in Richmond, Surrey, Langley, and Coquitlam. Started in 1999, each store is 18,000 square feet of golf-goodness that will drive any links fanatic wild.
What makes Golf Town one of the best stores in town? Well, it’s their impressive selection of golf equipment such as putters, iron sets, fairwoods, drivers, wedges, and golf accessories. The list can go on. But what I enjoy the most is using the in house simulators to test clubs right in the store!
Take any club you wish and staff will use masking tape to wrap up the clubface to protect it. Then, in you go to the simulators to test out your monster swing. I’m not sure exactly how accurate the simulators are, but they really do the job in explaining how good new clubs are for you.
On top of this, Golf Town’s staff is second to none. They are all very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly without being pushy. You can find some great deals on clubs at Golf Town. I recently picked up a Nickent 3DX hybrid/utility club and a Nickent 4DX Fairway wood. The 3DX hybrid cost $35 (it is an older model–but what a deal!) and the 4DX fairway wood was $85.
